Design and enhancement of recreation grounds for a new neighbourhood.

Both existing playing fields and recreation grounds and additional land were identified to support the planned new neighbourhood to the south of the town. The Parks project involved providing more detailed proposals for the sites including access arrangements, layout of playing fields, parking and facilities, concept planting plans and a concept design for a new pavilion.

Concept design for visitor gardens.

Brading Roman Villa is an important site with well preserved mosaic floors. With the help of Heritage Lottery Fund support, the site has a new cover building and visitor centre. The next step is to enhance the setting visually and allow for more active use of the surrounding spaces. The concept design takes the idealised Classical peristyle garden as a starting point and transforms it to suit its modern context and use.
